Help your child blossom with GIRAFAS’ Montessori Workshop!

This fun and creative program is designed to enrich students’ Portuguese vocabulary while engaging them in a variety of hands-on learning experiences—including art projects, language (both introductory and advanced reading and writing), and the full range of Montessori materials beautifully displayed on our classroom shelves.

Ages 4 to 6: This class supports children who are being introduced to or continuing their early literacy journey. Through a combination of meaningful texts, art projects, language activities (including pre-writing, early writing, and reading foundations), and Montessori materials, children begin to develop key literacy skills while deepening their understanding of Brazilian culture. Our approach enriches vocabulary, nurtures a sense of identity and belonging, and fosters autonomy — all in a joyful and culturally immersive environment.

Ages 6 to 9: For children who already have a foundation in Portuguese and are ready for the next step! This class builds on the early literacy foundations developed in the 4–6 group and focuses on reading fluency, structured writing, and grammar. Through meaningful texts, cultural projects, creative expression, and Montessori materials, children sharpen their language skills while deepening their understanding of Brazilian culture. The program provides a supportive and engaging space for bilingual learners to grow with confidence and pride.
